Minister Fidan's "scabbard" statement: "We will not step back"

Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan was a guest on TGRT News. Fidan answered questions from our Chief Broadcasting Coordinator Yücel Koç and author Sevil Nuriyeva on the program "Gündem Özel." Minister Fidan assessed the latest developments in the region and around the world and offered the following:
"NETANYAHU, THE SECOND HITLER"It has become clear that Israeli expansionism poses a grave threat to the region. After the Holocaust perpetrated by Hitler in World War II, we are faced with a mechanism that transforms the suffering there into the suffering of others. The historical madness that Netanyahu and his friends are implementing is a repetition of Hitler's madness. The world's rhetoric, language, and narrative have changed on this issue. The illusion of Israel's immunity has disintegrated. At this point, steps are being taken, including in European countries, to recognize Palestine as a state. There are also divisions within US politics. The rest of the world is already on the Palestinians' side. They want two separate states, not hostile to each other. Israel's supporters no longer have the luxury of being visible. At the end of the day, everyone must be held accountable. We are witnessing a historic period. We are seeing how the system under the siege of Zionism is disintegrating globally. Israel now faces absolute isolation. The US has realized that the policies it has implemented regarding Israel are no longer defensible in the name of humanity. A country that violates every value it has declared to the world will unconditionally "They are becoming defenders of this. In the medium to long term, there will be questions in US domestic politics."
Regarding Netanyahu's statement, "The Ottoman Empire won't be returning anytime soon," Fidan said, "There's a reality the whole world defines as genocide. What this man wants to do is cover it up. He's trying to enslave the Zionist structure in every country through his own local politics. Thankfully, we don't have a character that can be enslaved through local politics. That's why they're targeting us from external actors. There's also a huge division within the global Jewish community. This historical madness Netanyahu is exposing is a continuation of the Hitler madness they themselves condemn. There's tremendous unity in our country on this issue, and I'm proud of it." Fidan continued:
WARNING TO GREECETurkey is the number one issue in Greek domestic politics. It's like political aspirin. If there's a problem in the country, they bring up Türkiye, the Mediterranean, or the Aegean. A theory of conditioned reflexes has emerged. Our President took risks no other leader has taken to address these issues. We have no qualms about engaging in polemics with them. My advice is to abandon anti-Turkish sentiment.
Our fundamental strategy is the unity and integrity of Libya. Libya has a vast area and a wealth of underground resources, primarily energy resources. We say, "Let there never be another war here." We made this possible. We used our military presence in Libya to prevent conflict. We prevented it on both sides. Türkiye's contribution has been significant.
"HE IS TRYING TO COVER UP THE GENOCIDE"I'm a team player. Our captain is our President. My place is in foreign policy. I strive to fulfill my role to the best of my ability. We are entrusted with a responsibility. We cannot be negligent. We strive not to exploit this responsibility for petty political maneuvering in domestic politics. We strive to avoid the mistakes made by Greek politicians. Smearing is a matter of law.
Hakan Fidan, in response to a question about President Erdoğan’s sword-sending message, said:
We come from an ancient state tradition. We've had a difficult past, and we'll likely have a difficult future. As long as we're not treated with hostility, we don't harbor hostility toward any political ethnicity or group for any reason. Our warning is directed at those who target Türkiye's security, future, national interests, and the public's well-being and peace, and who seek to disrupt these. We changed our strategy long ago. We don't expect anyone to attack us when a threat emerges on our border. Therefore, our President's messages on these matters are not aggressive; they are: 'As long as you don't show hostility towards us, we won't show hostility towards anyone. But when you do, we won't back down.' When Türkiye's national security is threatened, it's a historical imperative for us, especially the Kurds, Turks, and Arabs, our brothers and sisters and relatives living beyond our borders, to come to their aid and be a force for maintaining order. We must recognize imperial projects and take professional measures. The YPG/SDF isn't the only party in Syria. There are many Kurdish parties, and they are Türkiye's friends. They said, 'We are turning to Ankara, help us.' We support them. Others are waiting for an opportunity, waiting for a crisis to break out, and refusing to cooperate with Damascus. This is unacceptable to anyone.
